Professional Experience


Graduate Research Assistant, Fall 2024Assistant to professor’s ongoing research, which may or may not include transcribing, proof-reading, researching, archiving, etc. Assistantship is intended to give graduate students experience with research that is complimentary to their own research interests.

-Assisted the faculty member’s research by compiling bibliographic information of relevant material
-Proof-read faculty member’s manuscript and provided thorough, cohesive, and fluent feedback in accompaniment to in-text edits
-Partook in weekly meetings with faculty member to reflect on the newly acquired research methods 
 
Graduate Teaching Assistant, Spring 2023 Assistant to instructor of Composition in university's first-year Writing course. Assistantship serves as a mentor opportunity for doctoral students, who will teach this course the following term (Fall 2023).

-Assisted instructor in grading student essays, including evaluation, comments, and grade assignment.
-Taught & led class sessions on occasion. Ensured student engagement & material accessibility.
-Material consisted of rhetorical strategy; essay formatting & conventions; research methods.
-Participated in classroom activities to build affinity with first-year undegraduate students.


Graduate Writing Tutor, AY 2022 - 2023Tutor for graduate students trained to support in any writing endeavor, including graded writing assignments, creative pursuits, and professional & application materials.

-Offered asynchronous written feedback on drafts, regarding both content and grammar & mechanics.
-Met with students for in-person appointments, typically regarding proper writing conventions. Offered clear, cohesive, and friendly support & lesson.
-Directed students to library and online resources that may support in the writing & research process.
