Doctor of Philosophy, Loyola University Chicago
English Literature, ongoing
My doctoral study is centered on Modern & Contemporary Literature. I am frequently concerned with the assertion of decolonial epistemologies; the role of literature & language in the construction of nationalisms and other ideologies of power; and insurgent historiographies from which we can conceptualize new worlds and futures.
My prospective research and dissertation looks to diasporic Palestinian literature for a phenomenological depiction of space, and subsequently to interrogate conceptions of mobility and movement, nationalism, geography, and place.
